Rent a Girlfriend in Bangalore: Is It Real, What You Get, and the ₹499 Trick to Avoid
By Gfriend Bangalore Last updated 10 min read
Gfriend Bangalore books girlfriend-style dates in Bangalore: dinner, a party or a quiet evening, at your hotel, your home or her place. Two hours start from ₹9,000, and you pay her in cash or UPI when she arrives, with no advance. If you searched for rent a girlfriend in Bangalore, that is the honest version. The cheap “rent a partner” offers on Instagram and Telegram are something else, and police in Hyderabad warned about one of them in August 2026.
And yes, Rent-a-Girlfriend is also a Japanese anime. This page is about real Bangalore.

Is “rent a girlfriend” real in Bangalore?
Yes, but not the way the word sounds. There is no proper app here where you rent a girlfriend like you book a cab. When you search, three different things come up, all mixed together.
One: rent-a-friend apps. They sell plain company, like a coffee, a movie or someone to talk to, and nothing more. They take your payment inside their own app before you meet.
Two: paid girlfriend-style dates, like ours. A grown woman spends real time with you as your date, and you pay her when she comes.
Three: fake cheap offers. There are lots of these on Instagram, Telegram and Facebook. They are made to take your money, not to send anyone. Police found the ₹499 ads on exactly those apps, so be extra careful when you look for a girlfriend for rent there.

The idea to rent a girlfriend comes from Japan. There, a rental girlfriend is booked through an agency, for time spent in public places. The rules change from agency to agency, but all of them keep it to public places, with no physical contact beyond what they list. Time Out Tokyo puts the price at about ¥3,000 to ¥6,000 an hour, often with a minimum booking.
So can you rent a girlfriend in Bangalore? If you mean a paid date, booked on the phone, with her price told to you first, then yes. That is what the rest of this page is about.
What a girlfriend-style date with Gfriend Bangalore actually includes
If you want to rent a girlfriend for one evening, think of it as a normal date, only booked. She meets you for dinner, comes with you to a party, or spends a quiet evening with you in your hotel room. She comes to your hotel or your home in Bangalore, or you go to her place. For the full Bangalore girlfriend experience, with easy talk and time to relax, book three hours or the full night rather than two.
Each girl has her own price, and you see it on her card before you call. Two hours cost ₹9,000 to ₹14,000, three hours ₹15,000 to ₹18,000, and the full night ₹18,000 to ₹35,000, till 5:30 in the morning. It is the same price at your place or hers. You pay her in cash or UPI when she arrives. Nobody asks you for money before that.
We take bookings on Monday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 AM, Tuesday to Thursday from 11 AM to 3 AM, and Friday to Sunday from 11 AM to 4 AM. The close time is the last time a booking can start.

People also ask if a girl can come to an event with them. Yes: a girl can come with you as your date to a wedding, an office party or a family event. Some girls also travel out of Bangalore, but only when it is booked ahead, on request. For both, tell us on WhatsApp what the event or the trip is, the place, and the hours or the dates. Then book early, and we will reply with who can come.
The ₹499 trick: how the cheap “rent a partner” posters work
On 8 August 2026, Hyderabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar posted a warning on X. He called it “a new dating trap being set by cyber fraudsters”. The ads ran on Instagram, Telegram and Facebook, with lines like “Rent-a-Boyfriend - Your Personal Companion” and “1st August Special - 50% OFF”.
Here is the part most people get wrong. The ₹499 price list police warned about was a “rent a boyfriend” poster, and it was aimed at girls and women. We could not find any police report of a “rent a girlfriend” ₹499 poster aimed at men. But men see the same trick in “girlfriend” and “dating” ads: a small first payment, then more, then more.
The prices were tiny, from ₹499 for a one-hour coffee to ₹4,499 for ten hours. The photos were made by AI or picked up from the internet, police said. After a friendly chat came the “booking confirmation”, “security deposit” or “advance payment”, paid by QR code or wallet. Then, in the words of The News Minute, “After collecting thousands of rupees, the fraudsters block the victims.”
Police also warned that phone numbers and personal photos shared in these chats can later be used for threats. Their advice was plain. Keep your address, your number and your photos away from strangers from such ads. Never pay in advance. And, in their words, “don’t be swayed by discount offers”.

Bangalore saw its own version before that. Around Valentine’s Day 2025, posters saying “RENT A BOY FRIEND ONLY Rs 389 SCAN ME” came up on walls near Jayanagar 8th Block and the Banashankari BDA Complex, each with a QR code. People tagged Bengaluru Police on X and asked for action. As far as we could find, nobody has said who put them up, or where that QR code led.

The same trick, aimed at men in Bangalore
The words change from case to case: rent a girlfriend, dating agency, companion booking. The trick stays the same, and Bengaluru police have seen it work on men many times. The first amount is small on purpose.
In April 2025, a 29-year-old techie in Electronics City found a companion-booking website and called the number. First they asked for ₹400 “to confirm the booking”. Then two “security deposits” of ₹6,900 each, said to be refundable. Then two payments of ₹9,500 “to activate a service code”. When he tried to cancel, there were “cancellation charges” of ₹7,590 and ₹7,990, and after that “GST and other charges”. He lost ₹1.4 lakh. They had also picked up his address from his shared location, and they threatened him.

They also threatened him with “serious trouble”. The case was filed for cheating, under BNS Section 318.
Source: Asianet Newsable, 6 May 2025. Steps 1 to 4 add up to ₹48,780; the rest of the ₹1.4 lakh went as “GST and other charges”.
In September and October 2025, a 63-year-old man in Horamavu got a WhatsApp message from a “high-society dating agency”. He paid a ₹1,950 registration fee and was sent photos of three women. Then came fees for coordination, verification and travel, paid to many accounts over weeks. When he said no to more, they threatened him with legal action. By then he had paid ₹32.2 lakh.
In July 2025, a techie met a woman on Bumble. After weeks of texts and video calls, they met at a coffee shop, and she suggested a room. Four men burst in, “found” white powder that turned out to be baking soda, and asked for ₹15 lakh. He paid ₹2 lakh. Police later arrested six people.

One more, with a warning label on it. In August 2026, a viral post on X said some dating-app matches in Bengaluru ask men to pay their “cab driver” directly, and then block them. That story was reported on social media. It is not confirmed by police.
These are only the cases that made the news. Bengaluru police counted 84 sextortion cases from January to September 2023, with ₹97.45 lakh lost and only ₹8.67 lakh returned. In a separate report, Additional Commissioner (East) Raman Gupta said about 80% of such cases are never reported at all.

How a real booking is different
The simplest test is one question: when do you pay?
With a fake page, you pay before you meet, to the QR code or UPI ID of someone you have never seen. With Gfriend Bangalore, you pay when she has arrived and is in front of you. You see each girl’s own price before you call. You call or WhatsApp the number on this website, a person answers, and you fix the girl, the place and the time together. That is the whole process.
To be fair to the honest rent-a-friend apps: they also take money before the meeting, but inside their own app, under their own rules. That is not the same as sending UPI to a stranger’s QR code from an Instagram page. If you want a woman who enjoys going out like a proper date, look at our dating girls in Bangalore and send us the name you like.
Before you book with anyone, ask two things. What is the full price? And when do I pay, and to whom? If the answer is a small fee to a QR code first, you already have your answer.

Is it legal to rent a girlfriend in India?
We are not lawyers, so take this as a plain summary, not legal advice. Some things are clear crimes. Cheating someone out of money falls under BNS Section 318, and Bengaluru police used it in the ₹1.4 lakh and ₹32.2 lakh cases above. Threatening someone to get money is extortion, under BNS Section 308. Cheating online by pretending to be someone else comes under Section 66D of the IT Act. Trafficking is a serious crime under BNS Section 143, and anything involving a person under 18 is a serious crime under the POCSO Act.
Beyond that, paying to rent a girlfriend, when both people are adults and it is their own choice, sits in a grey area of Indian law. The rules there are still changing.
Already paid a fake page? Do this in the first hour
If a fake rent a girlfriend page already has your money, act fast. Stop the chat first. A Bengaluru DCP put it simply: “Stop the chat the moment the suspect begins demanding money and threatening.” Don’t pay more to “fix” it or to get a refund. That is exactly how ₹400 became ₹1.4 lakh.
Take screenshots of the chat, their UPI ID or QR code, and your transaction IDs. Then call 1930, the national cybercrime helpline, or report it on cybercrime.gov.in under financial fraud. Bengaluru police say the chance of stopping the money is higher if you report within the first hour. If someone threatens you or you feel in danger, call 112.
- Stop chattingThe moment they ask for more money or start threatening you.
- Take screenshotsThe chat, their UPI ID or QR code, and your transaction IDs.
- Call 1930The national cybercrime helpline.
- Report it onlineOn cybercrime.gov.in, as a financial fraud.
Bengaluru police say money is easier to stop if you report within the first hour. Through this system, banks have saved more than ₹5,489 crore.

It is easy to feel foolish after this, but you are not the only one. The men in these cases include software engineers and a 63-year-old. Reporting fast helps you, and it helps the next man too.
Quick answers
Can I rent a girlfriend for a day in Bangalore?
Our longest normal booking is the full night, from ₹18,000, from the time she arrives till 5:30 in the morning, paid to her when she arrives. For a whole day, or a trip out of Bangalore, send us the date, the place and the hours on WhatsApp and book ahead.
How much does a rented girlfriend cost in Bangalore?
Each girl has her own price. Two hours start from ₹9,000, three hours from ₹15,000 and the full night from ₹18,000, the same at your place or hers. For comparison, Time Out Tokyo puts an agency date in Japan at about ¥3,000 to ¥6,000 an hour.
Is the ₹499 rent a boyfriend or girlfriend offer real?
No. In August 2026, Hyderabad police warned that the ₹499 “rent a boyfriend” ads were a cyber fraud. People paid a booking fee or a deposit by QR code, and then the fraudsters blocked them. If you paid one, call 1930 at once.
Is rent a girlfriend a real thing, or just the anime?
Both. Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is a Japanese manga by Reiji Miyajima, running since 2017, with an anime made from it. Agencies that rent out girlfriends for public dates do exist in Japan. In Bangalore, it means a paid girlfriend-style date.
Is renting a girlfriend legal?
Cheating, blackmail, trafficking and anything with a person under 18 are clear crimes in India. Paid company between two adults is a grey area, and the law is still changing. This is a plain summary, not legal advice.
Is there an app to rent a girlfriend?
We could not find a proper one for girlfriends in India. There are platonic rent-a-friend apps, and a “Rent a Boy Friend” app started in Mumbai and Pune in 2018, for boyfriends only. Never pay a stranger’s QR code from an Instagram or Telegram page that calls itself an app.
Want a real date, not a poster?
If you want to hire a girlfriend for an evening in Bangalore, call or WhatsApp us. Tell us the area, the time and how long you want her company. Two hours start from ₹9,000, and you pay her when she arrives.
